#MiamiOpen: Iga Swiatek Reaches Miami Open Quater Final

World Number One, female tennis player in waiting, Iga Swiatek has advanced to the quater-finals of the Miami Open for the first time in her history.

The Polish player who has been in the best form of her life got past America’s Coco Guaff in straight sets 6-3,6-1 to reach the last eight of the competition.

This is Swiatek’s 14th consecutive winning streak, her best winning run ever.

Swiatek will also be adding the feather of World Number One to her status when the next WTA rankings are released.

She will take up the place of Australia’s Ashleigh Barty who announced her retirement on Wednesday, 23rd, March 2022.
